**Spoiler** I should have stopped reading after chapter 2, by which time Reacher had not punched a single bad guy. Then I should have stopped reading after chapter 4, as Reacher had STILL not punched a bad guy. By the end of chapter 6 I was getting very worried that I was wasting my life away with this book. Not even a scuffle with any bad guys so far... and I just kept on reading because I thought to myself "surely he'll get to bust some jaws soon". But no... I was sorely disappointed. Sure, there were some clever "Sherlock" style thought processes and deductions, but not a single punch thrown until about page 455. Yes you read that right... page 455, when Reacher gets his arse handed to him by a 4' 11" bad guy called Plato. Any fans of Jack Reacher and his "unsubtle" style of righting wrongs should probably avoid this one.

As a Bond fan I have to say I was disappointed on several levels, but mainly by the ending... no Bond fan wanted to see that. Rami Malek was (unlike his previously brilliant roles) unconvincing. His character was lacking in any kind of gravitas... a Bond Baddie wet blanket. Ana de Armas however, was an absolute breath of fresh air, as an apparently rookie CIA operative, who completely stole about 15-20 minutes of the movie. I could have watched her for the 2 hours 45 minutes, so hopefully we'll be seeing her again soon.
