Spiderman Far from home is a great film for older children (8 years and up). It does require you to view all the previous films made in the early 2000's to the most recent to fully understand it. Is it a cutting edge film for adults who don't necessarily care about comics or superheros? probably not, In fact I wouldn't call it it cinema, it's pure fan service with some great actions scenes and reflects on a fair bit of marvel nostalgia. Kids will love it, fans will love it too, but the film is really a great big event with a very shallow or weak story that has more than a few plot holes. It will make a great showreel for the people who worked on it, and kids will experience some jump scares as they cheer on their favorite hero. I would have given the film less, but it does have some worthy actors in it capable of great performances. It's a great family movie worth watching on the big screen.

This is probably the most hated sucessful films ever made. Its the movie that feels more like a Kubrick rather than a Spielberg. The ending is also misunderstood but any parent and anyone into the issues and fears of A.I will understand it completely.
