Paradisiacal Mermaid

Too gory for pg-13. I would never let my child watch something this graphic. The dragon especially is very poorly written (which hurts me because I love dragons) and the story doesn't feel complete. It gets two stars due to good casting, beautiful scenery, and good effects. But this was poorly written and further proof that the modern rating system is broken.

Amazon doesn't even warn the audience about the almost comical amount of blood loss when it states the 18+ rating. Which is just completely insensitive to people who are highly empathetic or may be very triggered by viewing so much gore, despite the fact it's a brighter red than a clown nose. Fair warning: there are far better shows out there much more worth your time.

I watched every painful minute of the first season hoping it would get better. It didn't. Netflix has turned a beautiful, positive, happy show that many children have loved and that sets good moral examples into just another vampire diaries. It is no longer fit for it's original audience and is a major disappointment. They haven't even kept any of the characters the same. Netflix has already rightfully received backlash for changing the characters so drastically. What they need to do is change everything about what they are doing. We don't need shows with so much darkness and so many unhappy people who demonstrate making bad choices. We need more shows full of positive energy and that can inspire the hope so many people truly need.

Wow. After reading some over reviews on here, I can see the articles saying that that this show was review bombed was right. The low reviews and ratings prove it, especially the ones that seem especially hateful or convienetly don't give any explanation at all. Do yourself a favor and give this show a fair chance. Supergirl, Arrow, Gotham, etc have all been good shows. I doubt this one will be different. 🙂 Don't listen to haters - all they are going to do is hate. This is especially obvious given the show is only on it's first season still. The episode count hasn't even reached double digits yet on the free app. Give this show a chance and you might find yourself wondering what is going to happen next! 🙂. Decide for yourselves though, your own thoughts and feelings on this show are important.
