In all seriousness I found this game to be pretty solid, though it does have some unfavorable design choices such as with the stiff movement and wonky camera. However these don't make the game an unplayable wreck in my opinion, as I found myself getting used to the bizarre mechanics soon enough and enjoying the game (not to mention, finding some tricks to cheese the levels was quite fun). The graphics and music are so surreal and weird, so it comes down to personal taste in those categories in whether you enjoy them or not (I myself love how the game looks, as it looks like it was ripped from a crazy 90's/80's music video, and I enjoy the nutty music). The idea of using the atom collectables as projectiles was pretty unusual, but interesting and thankfully they were easy to use. One thing to mention is that the game does have its moments on not being clear on what you have to do in a particular situation. Some examples would include the various boss fights that would require trial and error until you figure out how to beat them (in which those methods are pretty cryptic, especially the mammoth boss fight), and learning how to glide. There's not a single mention of how to glide in the game, so you would have to mash some buttons until you hit what you're looking for. The game will also have it's annoying cheap moments, such as enemy placement and the amount of time you're stunned (this stun mechanic is particularly problematic in the later levels that include high-speed rocket ship platforming). I found myself overcoming these issues for the most part, but they were still annoying. I will also say that when you get past the first level of the game, Bubsy really doesn't talk that much besides the occasional quip with killing an enemy or any other situation. If you find his voice super grating there is an option in the options menu to disable the talking (I personally never had a problem with Bubsy's voice or his lines). Another thing I will mention is that I did enjoy exploring the levels and finding whatever hidden secrets there were for the rocket pieces, and I did enjoy the cutscenes for when you die and when you complete levels. There are arrows that will point to where you need to go next, so there wasn't really much problem with me getting lost. Though you do have to take certain paths off the trail if you want to collect the rocket pieces for each level. As for the story, it really doesn't have much to it and the plot holes don't help. The two endings to the game aren't really that satisfying either (unless if you really dislike Bubsy, then you'll probably like them). Overall this game earns a 3 out of 5 for me, as it played solid for the most part. It could definitely use some more time in the oven however to iron out those glaring kinks in the story, controls, graphics (like, including a texture that would indicate a broken wall), and the tutorial in the first level. I would say to give it a try with an open mind and see if you enjoy it or not.
