This astute author ruins his grand overview of our country’s.leaders, what they ate, how they entertained, by injecting his personal political biases. He can’t control his disdain, even hatred for certain Presidents and their families. It’s a shame he couldn’t moderate himself, maintain objectivity or at least tolerance for those with whom he disagrees politically. To give an example, he excoriates Mr. Trump for preferring well done steak, even suggesting Trump’s preference reveals a deep psychological disorder. I’m sure most of our fellow citizens wouldn’t eat rare meat if they were starving. In fact, studies show only about 5% of Americans want their beef rare.
