I thought it was a lovely adaption of the original, albeit a few areas felt a little lackluster, overall I found it to be nostalgic and tap-your-toes worthy. Theater is a fine taste, and everyone has their own unique views on direction. I thought the director did decent justice to the play, the music was great and I had a lot of fun! Definitely set aside the poor reviews from others and give it an open-minded watch. If you liked the original play, you'll probably be singing and smiling along like I was.
