Bob Roughton

Barely recognisable from the books. With the exception of the Empire/Cleon clones (which is quite an interesting concept) most of the characters are wooden and poorly developed. Dialogue is hackneyed and often confusing. The plot is one-paced, muddled and lacks tension. Even the 'science' is poorly done. And since when was Salvor Hardin a gun-toting marksman? I've tried hard to like this, I really have, and I've tried to view it objectively as a standalone show, divorced from the books. But for me it's beyond redemption. Jared Harris is a very fine actor, but he must be embarrassed to be involved in this pile. Please Apple, cancel any future series and quietly shelve this.
