I can say honestly, as someone with a background in film, and someone who is a rather harsh critic of creative endeavors.... this is one of the most masterfully done shows ever made. The acting is as good as one could possibly ask for. The writing is incredible. I have had maybe 1 or 2 minor complaints through 8 seasons, and that kind of flawless track record cannot be said about almost anything I critique. Masterful. Emotional. Relevant. A true masterpiece. Bravo.

The show is really good, but around season 3 it starts doing cliche writing bits to artificially create tension and it kind of ruined it for me. Was exciting up to that point, and then it became clearly melodramatic and unrealistic to follow. Still a great show. Came back a couple episodes later. COME ON. The whole nagging wife conflict after 3 seasons is completely unrealistic. The "leaving the critical to the entire mission" item unattended with the one untrustworthy person. Just embarrassing. You guys fell off.
