This is Asia's first movie done with 3D motion capture technology and this movie is dedicated to 100 years of Indian Cinema. Kochadaiiyaan is a great movie with a good plot and screenplay, the only drawback that the audience felt was the animation was not like other 3D motion-captured movies. The team had to release it early because of fans' demand. After Endiran (2010) there were no Rajni movies and fans wanted to see their Thalaivar in movie theatres soon. Soundarya informed in an interview that they had initially planned to release it after 2 years as the post-production and graphic works were not fully realized at that time. In this historic movie, Rajni comes in a dual role of father and son. Lots of twists and turns in the plot. This movie brings back the yesteryear actor Nagesh (who died in 2009) to life. The costumes for each actor specially Rajni had to be designed for this movie. There are more than 50+ characters in this movie. Technicians from all over the world worked on the movie. The lyrics are written by Vairamuthu with deep meaning and the music is scored by AR Rahman. Music is created with an orchestra team from London. There are 9 song tracks with one instrumental. The story is much better and would have been a great hit had it only been taken in a real-world environment. The budget too was a constraint at that time. Overall it's a very much watchable movie if you had the likeness for animation.

Adimai Penn (Women Slave) A son tries to free his mother and his enslaved people from the clutches of the tyrant (who killed his father as well). MGR as usual acted well. The surprising fact is that Jayalalitha acted in a dual role as a normal village girl and a rude queen. Since it shows how people suffer, the movie location includes hills, turbulent rivers, waterfalls, and hard terrains. Our hero must go through all these terrains, escape assassination attempts and use his wits to get his vengeance. The movie's name came from the fact that the queen (Pandari Bai) wears an ankle restraint like all the enslaved subjects and vows to free her subjects from slavery. She hides her face from her son (MGR), asks him to free all the people from the villain and then set her free. The film has good songs and was awarded by the TN govt as well. The run time is 3 hours. Overall, a good watch.

A spoiled girl from a rich family getting married to a middle-class family and how she gets tamed into a very homely girl forms the main plot. Visu is the father of the rich girl, he believes values are most important in life rather than money. He helps in every way possible to make his daughter a good girl. Like any other Visu movie this movie also show what sacrifice is and how greed can take down a well-maintained household. Overall, a good watch.

This is Mammootty's first Tamil movie. Mammootty is a famous lawyer who represents the case of a businessman accused of killing his sister-in-law. Will Mammootty succeed in finding the real culprit forms the plot of the movie? Film has ensemble cast of Nagesh, Jai Shankar, YG Mahendran, Amala, Sarath Kumar, and Charlie This movie has a few famous songs of the time. Also, in the movie, actors wear sunglasses which is awesome. I mean seriously, where did they get them? Maybe it was a thriller of that time, but it has many predictable scenes when we see it now. In some places, there is difficulty in understanding if we are seeing the present scene or a flashback. Overall, a good movie.

A movie that I had seen without any expectations and had never even seen the posters before going to the theatre. Didn't have many ideas on how an avatar might look like. All avatars are created using performance capture. There are lots of plants and animals that are designed for the alien exoplanet's moon Pandora through CGI. Years of work have undergone before making this movie, according to the director James Cameroon he had to wait until suitable technology has been invented to show Avatar like what he imagined. The Ensemble Cast of Sam Worthington (Ex-Marine Jake), Zoe Saldana (Na'vi Neytiri), Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles), Michelle Rodriguez (Pilot Trudy), and Sigourney Weaver (Scientist Grace) has done what is expected of them. There is always this greed factor in human society that takes them to lengths to get what they wanted and certain groups that are against the thought of taking things in excess. An imaginative world where the occupants live in harmony and how they get affected by humans coming from dying earth is the main plot. I would suggest you watch the extended collector's edition which shows some additional scenes and animals. Four of the planned sequels may release by end of 2022, 2023, 2025, and 2027. A must-watch for sci-fi addicts.

A film inspired by true events of Amritsar massacre in 1919. One of the revolutionary Udham Singh, took revenge for the massacre by killing former Lt. Gov. Michael O'Dwyer (Punjab) in UK who is the man behind the shooting orders. The story is told in alternates of flashback and current events from the view of Sardar Udham. The screenplay is easy to understand though. The scenes at the end depicting the Massacre and the aftermath is heart breaking. Those with faint heart shouldn't be watching it. In reality, there are lot of unanswered question as to why the brutally happened against a peaceful crowd till now. Watch it if you are interest in a history, independence struggles and patriotism. The length of movie is appx 160mins.

I was expecting to see this movie as this is based on true events that happened in the Bangladesh Liberation war 1971. The movie is appx. 110 mins released in OTT Disney+ Hotstar with Ajay Devgan portraying the role of Sqn. Ldr. Vijay Kumar Karnik. The dogfight between IAF MIG-21 and PAF F-86, in the beginning, is made good with VFX. Songs could've been replaced by background scores. The main success of the real Bhuj story was the women from the nearby villages who helped build the runway in a quick time. But this wasn't emphasized enough in the film. There are also some dramatized versions of the events. Overall a decent movie. More movies like this should be taken in the future with a big budget which captures the struggles, sacrifices made by Indian soldiers at the border.

A family drama or maybe more like a comedy movie. Difficulties faced by an upcoming lawyer Madhavan (Prabhu) who lives in a joint family form the plot of the movie. All the cast in the movie had equal opportunities and there are some most memorable comedy scenes. Because both comedy actors Vivek and Vadivelu had done their part exceptionally good. The songs are just okay. Director T.P. Gajendran appears here and there to say to the audience what's happening in the movie. Overall, a good family movie with lots of humor.
