Daughters of Hope is a very personal series of transparent and true stories of women who have lost their mothers, many of them at an early age. Some did not have the emotional and family or social supports needed to " grieve well" their painful losses.
Delayed grief experiences are personally described in this volume. It is estimated that about 10 to 20% of all depressions are directly related to such delayed or incomplete grief experiences. Daughters of Hope will be a great source of comfort to these and others who have suffered losses of loved ones, especially to persons of faith.
It should be a most welcome addition to the literature on grief and loss issues, and even a source of healing for those grieving such major losses.
