Quality modern horror-mystery, and nostalgia embracing/destroying movie! Genuinely surprised to say this is the best Scream movie alongside the original. 28 minutes in, I knew this wasn't going to be what I expected, nor just another "Scream" sequel, and also, somehow, exactly a "Scream" sequel. Well written and executed plot, with good (or sufficient, in certain cases) acting. The violence pushed well past previous films, which keeps you off-guard and surprised enough to keep you from focusing on solving the big questions of Scream - Who is/are the killer(s)? What's the motive? And who lives? Oh, and is Stu really dead? You really don't know all of it until the credits roll this time.
