Watched the film because of director Michael Mann, I love his films. This movie was very authentic and well directed. Before watching it, I had my doubt whether to watch it or not. Now I am glad I watched this movie. Go for it.

Just watched it for Daniel Day Lewis and I loved his acting. So far as the film is concerned, it is neither the best nor the worst of Martin Scorcese. Those who out there love Daniel Day Lewis performance, don't miss the film, he was glittering like a star as a butcher in the movie. This is a compliment. If I supposed to give a rating for Lewis acting , I would give 10 out of 5. Yes it is that good.
