i couldnt finish the movie, because it was too slow and the writing was a complete cringe. i expected so much more from this movie, and tried to get past some of the plots that threw me off, like the whole idea that the girl was CHEATING on her boyfriend to go on a date with another guy??? what really got to me was the talent show. i get that it was a nice song and and she sang it well, but come on, in real life if that actually happened 1. nobody wudve heard her in that room for her to sing it in such a soft voice with no microphone and 2. its such a short generic and original song that theres no reason why she shudve gotten so much praise and popularity afterwards. not to mention the performance before ellie’s was way better!
