I grew up playing the monster hunter games, but this movie is just awful. Don't get me wrong, the monsters look great. But when T.I is the best actor, I think that says something. It wasn't even that entertaing either. I'm sorry but saying that Rathalos is almost impossible to kill is offensive to every elder dragon. It was just slow and the entire story was unnecessary. I get it it's supposed to be people hunting monsters, but they didn't even stick the games. It was just an awful movie. Honestly I think the most entertaining part was the last 15 minutes. There was only one scene that they did right and I appreciate it because it was a reference to the games. Long story short, l I highly recommend you don't make the same mistake I did and go see the croods instead of this garbage.
