This was one of the most unintelligent movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life. It looks to me like the movie was made to promote an ideology of social class warfare without a logical plot. It betrays the tradition of comic book Batman legacy by depicting Bruce Wayne’s family as evil wealthy political figures and the joker as representing the underprivileged while being a whimsical, mamas-boy personality who commits crimes when he’s off his antidepressants. Rather than adhering to the methodical and maniacal joker persona, the movie depicts him as morose, weak, and exhibiting an average intellectual capacity(not Joker-like). The movie attempted to portray members of society as uniformly evil while catering to a gullible audience who might actually walk away being convinced that laughing at the expense of another person (Maron) equates with murdering them(joker). They could’ve just created a movie stating that 2+2 = 5 just to see how many people would be willing to call it “art.” It’s a propaganda movie pushing a 21st century secular ideology with absolutely no entertainment quality as it forces you to watch an unfolding metaphorical cinematic enema. I would’ve rather watched a real one and paid for it. The only thing frightening(rather than just unintelligent) about this movie was how it ended; they might make a sequel.
