I didn’t appreciate the agnostic and Christian symbolism coming from the villain cult group. It felt like a whole agenda was being forced on the viewer. A lot of Christian and also God like characteristics in the main villain’s character it was very off putting and left me not really wanting to be on the hero side and understanding more what the “villains” were saying even though I believe they were going about it in an inappropriate or villainous manner. I’ll say it again the Christian undertones and language was very in your face and it felt like an agenda was definitely being pushed. I watched the movie dubbed so I don’t know if these undertones were as strong in the sub/ Japanese version but It isn’t appreciated. Pros: Izuku was adorable in the light hearted scenes, The animation was pretty good and the action scenes were very beautiful visually.

I over all liked this movie but I think the plot gets lost. Vicenza mission is to find her biological dad but this main point in the plot seems to be put on the back burner. the scenery and shots were beautiful, I loved the costumes and festival makeup, I loved how it captured brazils diversity, and I really like how chemistry between the characters. I just wish they stayed true the plot and journey of the main character and elaborated more on paco and giovanne's friendship. Overall a great movie to relax and watch with family. (spoiler warning) I wish that Vicenza choose to still look for her biological dad but her dad didn't want her so then paco and giovanne step in to become her dads. I also wish that we as viewers got more a back story on paco and giovanne friendship and their brawls so that their fight scene could have been more impactful.
