Anyone who has seen Young & Hungry will like Emily Osment's character in Pretty Smart. It's not as good as her old character, but she still brings her naturally quirky humor into the show. However, she's the only one who really has talent in the show. If Disney shows kept going past their 4 year runs, Pretty Smart is what you would get. The character of Chelsea IMO is really annoying. She's talks too much like Snow White and Ella from Enchanted. You can still have a sweet and lovable character without having them talk like a preschool teacher all the time. Grant was annoying at first but his character seemed to get less airheaded. Jayden got funnier and Solana might have some potential brewing. The first couple of episodes were a struggle to watch, but the third was finally good. There's maybe like a total of 3 good episodes out of the 10. Kind of wish the show would focus more on funny scenarios rather than jumping right into a love triangle. I feel like that could've waited til a second season or something. I'll keep watching because of Emily if there's another season, but if she wasn't in it, I probably wouldn't watch it. I feel like she went from shows with more mature cast and characters to a younger
and more immature cast. She's brilliant, why go backwards? Really hoping this show gets better since I love these types of sitcoms.
