Like a lot of people leaving a review, I too loved The Winx Club growing up, I was 13 when it first aired. My cousins and I all had our favorite characters and for me, it was Musa, and my cousins liked Tecna, Flora, and Stella. The design, their personalities, their WINGS, and everything else about them is why they were our favorites. However, that was the 'kids' show... and we are here to review...this.. which is definitely NOT for 'kids' or preteens, though I feel like even as an adult with a young child of my own, I would have preferred it that way. Benefit of the doubt...I think had this adaptation come out say, over decade ago, it probably would have been better to me. Since the initial audience (like myself) that were kids/preteens when it aired would have been teens or just graduated HS. I do not want to say the actors did a bad job, because they didn't I feel like they all did a great job with the materials, script, and expectations they were given... and the Trailer I watched, did interest me enough to watch all 6 episodes. That being said, I was less than 10minutes into Fate: The Winx Saga and I was very disappointed and unimpressed. All the angst and drama, and boring build ups... to... nothing of any real interest or importance. The only episode worth watching is S1: E6 (aka the last one as I am typing this). Because it was just starting to become worth the watch... Part of me hopes they do make more, and that they reel it back in and try to stay at least a bit more true to the original show, and BRING BACK the FULL Winx Club, I want to see Flora, Tecna, and Roxy. Also, will TRIX be introduced at some point? (aka Icy, Darcy, and Stormy) Or are we to just pretend they never existed, or may they were in Aster Dale when it was destroyed? I even tried to just think of this as a stand alone show, just tried to forget Winx Club even existed... and I feel like that just made it worse for me. Only rating 1 star... because I am hoping they learn from their mistakes and can correct the mistakes they have made, if they can then I may bump this rating up a star.
