While this does contain hints and references to portions of the movie, there are no direct spoilers. If you want to see the movie with basically a clean slate, ignore the second half of this review. I think the movie was just ok. I was a big fan of the final battle scene, minus the sudden thousands of ships that showed up with no logical explanation. In general, my largest complaints with this movie involve logic, but also the movie doesn't really seem to be apart of the trilogy, but is rather just a standalone film put in a trilogy. Furthermore, the plot isn't really structured well, there are a lot of jump cuts in the first half, and the movie shows new characters who have little point other than serving a very specific section of the plot. That said, Adam Driver did a great job. Kylo Ren's arc was well put together and finalized, although the end of his story was weird. The Knights of Ren were pretty cool, minus the fact that they didn't really do anything and were very wimpy at the end. The movie developed a very marvel-esque approach to comedy, so some jokes were funny and others weren't. I could get very specific, but all in all, just ok.
