The effort is there, the acting is good. I don't think many people know that this is a very intricate story from DC. A gender flipped Constantine. Yes, that one. Gods, Angel's and demons. A branch of the supernatural side of DC.

It was a Sam Raimi movie. Enough said.

I was hoping for an epic anthology not like but similar to AHS. Loved the original staying some what true to the classics. This one a definite period piece. The story isn't bad for what it is. What it doesn't have is enough supernatural entertainment. It is why I watched the first series to begin with. I LA noir atmosphere is cool but still too much cop and family drama, not enough spooky.
