It could have been edited a lot better, the characters were emotionless, as was the acting. Scenes that should have been heart tugging such as the reunification of Simba with Nala and his pride and the death of Musafa were severely affected by the lack of emotional expression on their faces. Overall, I do not think this remake will have the impact of the animated original which itself was an adaptation of another animated story about a white lion, but the attempt at anthropomorphism was spot on which enabled you to connect emotionally with the characters. This film did not have that it was very difficult to cross the line between that binds the human spirit. However it is worth seeing.
