Amazing show. You’ll notice the stereotype of those who negatively review the show but don’t let them fool you. For those who don’t already know, the exert of a debate that was played in the first episode was from James Baldwin from 1965, against the well known William Buckley (a debate which Buckley lost, I might add). If you’ve never heard the debate before, give it a listen. The levels to which the first episode relates to Baldwin’s argument gives a whole new insight to this single episode, and hopefully the rest of the series. The producers of the show and HBO understand the current climate of the country and to cite Baldwin is pure genius. As a conservative, I feel almost...embarrassed that a show on HBO is teaching me about history some 20 years later. Political views aside, this is the new game of thrones when it comes to anticipation for the next episode to come out. A week in between them is simply too long!!
