Nah. You don't get to do continuous montages of girls in slow mo with their hands in the air waving to music in some lazy attempt to show bonding. No. And twice? Nah.
The villain was a little too obvious and the conclusion of that was sloppy at best. The characters were wooden, no chemistry of the girls was present as in the original nor did we get to appreciate them as stand alone characters.
The only redeeming part of this movie was the final scene. That should have been explored more rather than thrown in as an afterthought to make a connection to the original...plus putting it in the trailer?
At best this is something a young girl would enjoy who has yet to experience any true sensations cinema has to offer. Fans of the original will be severely disappointed, I know I was.
