I had to leave half way, but I managed to summon up the strength to go back in and continue it. I regret going back.
I like weird and independent cinema but I wouldn't really call this that.
This is a very ordinary story, with utterly little depth. Where they literally sing some really straight forwards stuff over and over again. That's it. Oh they use a puppet for the daughter that was cool. But I don't know what the appeal is. I didn't learn anything about life. I couldn't emphasise with any of the characters. I didn't know I could enjoy a film so little.
It is for audiences who need every gap filled, every silence un-silenced, anything of interest burned out of the script.
