I’ve been a fan of these characters for a long time, so I was genuinely excited when I heard they were finally getting their own spin-off. Unfortunately, after watching it, I’m left disappointed. The dynamic the writers have given them as a couple feels off; the show comes across as formulaic and, honestly, a bit dull. What’s hardest for me is how it seems to undo so much of what Tony and Ziva went through together. Their bond in the original series was built through years of shared struggle, and that depth should naturally have carried over. Instead, the trauma and distance between them feel forced. And because we all know they’ll eventually reconcile, even that resolution will likely feel forced instead of earned. I really wanted to love this show — I still love these characters — but right now the writing just isn’t doing them justice.

I would have given this movie five stars. The performance was superb. The screenplay and direction were both excellent. There was no conclusion, though. It was really unpleasant for me to watch the entire film hoping for a conclusion, but there was none. If only they had the guts to confirm whether or not there was a fourth bomb! But there was no sign of what had transpired. As a result, viewing a film with no resolution left me feeling completely empty. This reminded me of the final Sopranos episode.

The biggest problem with this movie is the set up the whole 1st act make no sense.
