This is not a show for everybody, it’s dark and deeply upsetting but the fact is some teenagers live like this. Many people seem to have negative views on Euphoria due to it being “too graphic”, but we need to accept and learn that this is real. This is happening in our day and age, and it is a crisis. This show is real, that is why it’s graphic. If you aren’t comfortable with that, you don’t have to watch it. If you are, I encourage you do. The pilot episode shows Rue returning home after rehab that she attended in the summer, but has no plans to stay sober. The episode follows her as she ends up at a party, meeting Jules. Many other characters are introduced and we learn the friend groups and everyones social status as their school. There are quite a few graphic scenes including statutory rape, overdosing and sex, but the show is rated 18+ and for mature audiences for a reason. Overall the first episode gives a glimpse into each characters lives and sets up for an exciting season.
