I like JW 1&2. JW3 is a let down. It appealed to the base instinct of pure violence. It has no cohesive story. John's motivations are strangely fluid, along with his allegiance. It just seems like a really fancy drink with flowers & an umbrella but tastes like a flat soda. It was too far in fantasy land, simply unbelievable. A dark shadow group of assassins killing people in a crowded station, a livery stable, and even a ballet conservatory just sounds too visible & high profile. The extras, the bystanders, are like automatons blindly non-reactive to multitudes of people running around with guns & knives out in the open, in public. This movie appeals to the movie viewer that does not question the reality of what is presented on the screen. Fight scenes severely over choreographed, singular assailants running in at just the time one is dispatched constantly, just feels hollow & predictable. The addition of a wooden Halle Berry was not a highlight, her performance was lack luster & unbelievable at best it just seemed like a pay check for her. I feel the story was sold out to non-stop action at any cost. 5/10
