Keeping Lucy is one of the best novels I have read in a long time; one of the only books ever assigned to me that was a pleasure to read from beginning to end. Greenwood has a mastery of storytelling, focusing on details and motifs that do wonders to show rather than tell the pains and pleasures of her characters.
