FORREST GUMP – Google

This movie is incredible. But if you're not familiar with the 1960s movie industry or the historical events that took place during this time. You will find this boring and confusing. Besides that, the acting, set design, compelling dialogue, and nostalgia pretty much make this movie great. It looks like a 60s movie with better production value. The ending is fantastic. One of the best Tarantino scenes and is super violent but also really beautiful in the way it wraps up the movie. Not a flawless film by any chance, but ambitious and boundary pushing and I will always respect that.

Some people may have trouble sitting through the extreme sexual violence in the first half and the movie is really dark and depressing in general. Anyway, this is a GREAT movie. Seriously check it out if you think you can handle it. The cinematography is gorgeous and the pacing is quite good for the way this film is structured. Aisling Franciosi is incredible for the demanding role she was given and Sam Claflin is really great as the villain. This film probably will go under the radar and won't win any awards but it's the best film of the year in my opinion and Aisling Franciosi is my pick for best actress. Only flaw I have with the movie is the over use of dream sequences that just add a few scares throughout the film instead of adding depth to the character. Other than that this movie is a masterpiece.
