Not even Idris Alba or Shemar Moore could save this. I read reviews and I wonder if we even watched the same movie. Some of the CGI was beautiful, but then there was awkwardly bad CGI to counter it. For a 2 hour long movie it felt very rushed. Certainly lacks good storytelling. Idris Alba as Knuckles is probably the only redeeming quality I can find. Little ones will probably enjoy it. Just make sure it is a matinee so you don't feel ripped off like we did.

If you enjoyed the games or read the books, you will be extremely disappointed. I am pissed that I wasted 20 bucks on it. They said it was going to stay faithful to the video games. Yes, there were a couple of Easter Eggs here and there (itchy tasty) but that was it. Jill was obnoxious and whiny. Wesker was a completely different person. Chris was okay but They made Leon dumb as hell. Barely any story line. Minimal dialogue. Just lots of growling and gunshots. Oh. And they made Tyrant and Nemesis the same thing. Such a waste! At least the other ones took on a life of their own even if it wasn't just like the game. This should have been sent back to the drawing board. I have played all of the games and gave read the graphic novels that came out in the late 90s/ early 2000s. I was really looking forward to someone doing it justice. Nope. You are better off saving the money and watching Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness on Netflix. Much better than Welcome to Raccoon City.
