Ok, I've read the entire book series 3 times in my life and loved it each time. I just watched the new series and enjoyed it but I can not call it an adaptation of the books. The character profiles are nothing like those of the characters in the books and not enough attention was paid to the smaller details explaining things at the beginning. It diverts so often from the books that some of the plot twists and events are simply unrecognizable from the books. It moves too quickly in some places and to slowly in others. Having said that, it is well acted and well done and I will watch season two and enjoy it too but in my head, I am just watching an epic space novel, not Foundation. If you have not read the books, the series will be very difficult to understand in its entirety.

Loved the show. Seeing real old Aussie cars being restored brings back great memories and these guys are the duck's nuts. Real attention to detail. Can't wait for season 2.

So far I like it. As a fan of the space program, I've read autobiographies and biographies on most of the central characters portrayed here and the show captures the competitive nature of these guys very well. They were all alpha males with testosterone to burn and they ALL wanted that first ride. The sets and backgrounds are great so let's watch the characters unfold. So far, so good.
