In a time when so few people on television and in our lives can be counted on to truly care about us, there has never been a greater need to get to know the man who wanted to be everyone's neighbor. Mister Rogers was a wonderful man who never once put on airs or talked down to you from the television screen. He never told you how to think or what to believe. He just wanted you to understand that you were special in your own way and that you were loved, because he believed in you and he loved you no matter who you were. And this documentary does an excellent job of showing you not only the man behind the cardigan, but how he grew up and how difficult it was for him to keep his show on the air at times, particularly when Congress was moving to shut down public television stations. If this man touched your life in any way, please give this wonderful tribute to his life and work a watch. And please, don't forget to be someone's neighbor.
