When going in to watch this film, I was a little anxious to see how they would represent Christianity. Besides the scenes where one of the main protagonist “heals” people, it was a pretty solid representation. From a religious perspective, the movie reminded me of how I came to know the Lord. It showed that the church is open to all those who are lost and broken. From a general movie-goer perspective, it only took me half way through the movie until my eyes were swelling up with tears. The camera work was astonishing at times, especially when attempting to make you feel as lost and scared as the hippy teens. Overall, from a religious perspective I’d give this 9/10, and from a movie perspective i’d give it a solid 9.5/10.

Liberal Hollywood strikes again! Besides the fact that the entire movie is based off of the normalcy of an extremist ideology, which is also misrepresented, the film was rather good. However, I do not think that anyone with half of a brain felt this movie represented the real-world correctly; more of a “white people suck” mentality. The main protagonist is an immigrant who is mistreated and hunted by a white extremist group. In this movie, it portrays almost every white character as a villain/racist, and every single minority as a hero. With all of the borderline racist stereotypes aside, the movie was filled with gory violence from the start to the finish. There are some moments when the acting was laughable, however this does not take away from the intense action scenes well-placed jump scares. This movie keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat and rooting for the protagonist for the entirety of the film. The plot is predictable at times, but there are definitely some unexpected events that occur. In conclusion, if you are willing to sit through another lecture from liberal Hollywood, this action-packed movie is absolutely worth watching.
