Its an amazing movie. In my opinion, you have to read the book first, and then watch the movie. This is because during the book you don't really know all the thoughts and what everyone on the ships look like, sound like, and their emotions. The movie covered it all, and the book and the movie really put a standpoint on the book-to-movie industry. I would recommend reading the book first, and I found a copy on Amazon for something like $15, and I watched the movie on Disney+. Enjoy!
