it takes a great take on the dc universe. it shows that not every time things will be all rainbows and sunshine and like in real life things get dark and painful. i find it perfect as they've integrated an essence of real life into the series. like take dick grayson for example. his parents died and well in real life its hard to be all funny and chilled after that. but he is getting there slowly like how it is in real life
