I saw some gameplay of this game in my recommended feed on YouTube, so I checked out the game and bought it and absolutely loved it, from the characters to the soundtrack and the story. The characters are voice acted, and animated. It's story driven, has free roam between boss encounters to explore and upgrade, and other fun mechanics you should check out on your own. The boss fights are definitely challenging, which is fun. By the way, the music for this game is phenomenal, some of the boss soundtracks i just can't get enough of, and all of the boss soundtracks have at least 3 different styles. Hopefully I didn't spoil too much here, I just really love and recommend this game, and I hope it grows in popularity, because this is honestly one of the best games i've played in a while.
