So you must have already read rave reviews praising everything about S1. Then why the 'kanjoosi' in giving only 3 stars? This is coz the show makers decided to take away almost 9 hours of my time (8 episodes; each of 1hr 6 mts) and yet didn't conclude the story in S1. They kept dragging the show and made a mockery with Episode 8, just to make it a cliffhanger. There is not much meat (and neither any moat) for an S2 but the show makers think otherwise. Despite everything being right, I am very disappointed that S1 had no end to the cat-&-mouse chase and wants the audience to wait for an S2. They may make one, but I will not be investing further 9 hrs in an S2 for that stupid Megha to figure out that the real scamster is her boyfriend... Tch tch tch. Greed for S2 makes this an average fare.... ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ only.

Movie has a threadbare storyline. It's about the mental struggles of an upcoming female singer. The movie tries to be a Classic and suffers heavily from a Sanjay Leela Bhansali Hangover, aka ghostlike sets, unnecessary use of hues and cinematic effects to create feeling of psychedelia that the protagonist suffers from. Tripti Dimrii is a discovery and is an ace. I couldn't understand what is the fuss about Babli Khan's acting, other than him being Late Irfan Khan's son. Music is good, esp. 'Phero na najar se najariya' is one song that truly stands out. Final Verdict: Skip the movie and watch songs on YouTube. Thank me later !

Shikara is a delicately nuanced love story of a Kashmiri Pandit couple set in the backdrop of violence that erupted in the valley in late 1980s. Almost poetically, the movie captures the 'Kashmiriyat' that existed in the society before hate took over. The couple make a nest called 'Shikara' which they have to abandon when they run for cover, only to return after many years and see it occupied by another family. The movie touches lightly upon the violence and the struggles faced by the Pandits in the refugee camps - which is perhaps highlighted as a criticism of the movie. The movie is beautifully shot and the lead couple - Aadil Khan and Sadia nail it to perfection. The song - 'Mar Jaayein Hum' is extremely hummable and very well picturized. Some highlights: --------------------------- 1. The scene where the female lead contrasts her traditional marriage with today's marriage with DJ 2. The poem - Ae Wadi Shehzaadi when the couple briefly return to Kashmir and also visit their home I am going with 4-stars (1-star less as the movie could have shown more on the political unrest before the riots happened)

This is a Jewelry Heist and Revenge series. A few episodes of S1 started on a good note with Asane (Omar Sy) pulling off some great moves. But then, the weariness starts as the storyline starts to take audience for granted. Gradually, you realize that Asane can do anything and the storyline bends backwards to make it possible. Everyone else is shown to be stupid in the series (incl. the audience). The only smart guy in the room is Asane. And then the perpetual irritating question in every episode - What would Lupin do in such a situation?!! Sorry, show some real combat and real competition to both the sides to make it gripping. Don't show that Protagonist can get himself out of any situation coz he is just plain some lucky, or that he is the smartest person around ! Gave up watching after E2-S2.

Predictable storyline with cliched screenplay. Average performances. Choreography is good but more on hip hop style of dance rather than the Indian/Western Dance. Heavy usage of VFX makes it difficult to know if the actors (Varun/Shraddha) are actually able to perform the moves. The worst part is uninspiring music in a 'Dance Movie' - all songs sound like a techno beat and you don't leave the hall with any music in mind. On the positive side, the movie is slightly inspired by a real life piece (only to a limited extent). Also the last 15 minutes of dance performance is amazing, but it was too little and too late. Prabhu Deva 'Muqabla' performance is awe inspiring even after 25 years.
