the depth, the poesy, the tragedy, the elevation, the blessings, the challenges that stem from the ultra-orthodox Jewish living portrayed, with delicacy, tenderness, yet also documentary accuracy. portraits of people, like you and me, and how their sturdy faith dictates, sometimes cuts, sometimes lifts its obedient servants. there is nothing I do not love love love love about this outstanding TV show. Very grateful for the subtitles, and very thankful it is not dubbed either. The TV series abducts us into the modern world of contemporary Jews where traditions stand, unshaken, unshakable regardless of our - oh so different - world views
