Awful movie, you will be wondering why this dimwitted woman didn't simply get the guy's license plate number and call the cops. Instead, she doesn't do anything until after he's already killed 4 people. It makes no sense. It's a very ugly gore fest that I don't recommend to anyone.

Tediously trite. It's yet another version of the hundreds of horror films I've seen in my lifetime. For creepy pool scenes, watch Burnt Offerings instead. It's also got Bette Davis and Oliver Reed in it.

Boring, lacking in scares. Full of racial stereotypes. And Glenn Close is a cartoon. What a waste of talented performers in a dumpster fire of a movie.

It bored me, to be honest. These police procedurals tend to be too similar to each other, and the flaws and plot holes are just too distracting.

Funny that I saw it in 1989 and liked it. I'm watching it again as I write this, and I think it's silly, contrived, and the characters are stereotypes. The dialog is hokey nonsense reminiscent of Twister. James Cameron seems to be more interested in spectacle than in good scripts. Eight years later he made the equally silly Titanic, with spectacular sets and special effects but with a silly script.

A film most movie goers find hard to connect with, undoubtedly because it isn't based on a comic book superhero. Brendan Fraser is brilliant, as is Sadie Sink, who is wasted on Stranger Things. If you like character driven dramas of substance, watch this film. You'll be glad you did.

Boring, no real scares, but the acting is good. Typical teenage date movie.

The titular character, played by Brian Cranston, is so utterly loathsome that he was sickening to watch. The death and destruction that takes place as he lies and manipulates people, as his efforts to protect his son snowball into his own moral and ethical destruction, were horrific to watch. Supporting cast, however, was excellent.

Awful. Sappy. A waste of Theron's acting ability, especially when you compare this shlock to her amazing work in "Monster." Keanu Reeves is a nice guy but he can't act his way out of a paper bag.
