Blade Runner is one of my all time favorite films and that includes the narrated, iun-narrated versions, the director’s cut and, of course, the original Philip K Dick novel. It asked what every great sci-fi movie should ask: What does it mean to be human? “Will all my memories be washed away like tears in rain?” Okay so Rutger Hauer wrote the line but it does sum up all our fears. I could barely follow the sequel and it moved so slowly I hardly wanted to. It’s not a sequel to the movie I know. I don’t know what it’s supposed to be.
