Very disappointing. Didn’t do the original, World-acclaimed script justice. The continuity, plot and faithful rendering of an otherwise perfect score got buried in the distracting and inconsistent special effects. The individual scene renderings were beautiful but each one could have been from a different film. The only highlight was Jennifer Hudson’s magnificent performance of the show stopping “Memories.” Seems like by the time the director realized he was conducting a train wreck, it was too late to do anything about it.
