This compelling story about one of the most significant geniuses in history is clouded and trivialized by irrelevant distracting visual effects, nudity and flimsy continuity. Brilliant performances by a brilliant cast are foreshadowed by this amateurish production.

Why aren’t more people watching? The very weirdest thing on TV.

Very disappointing. Didn’t do the original, World-acclaimed script justice. The continuity, plot and faithful rendering of an otherwise perfect score got buried in the distracting and inconsistent special effects. The individual scene renderings were beautiful but each one could have been from a different film. The only highlight was Jennifer Hudson’s magnificent performance of the show stopping “Memories.” Seems like by the time the director realized he was conducting a train wreck, it was too late to do anything about it.
