This show disregards the fundamental rule of "Show, Don't tell". Everything Danny does contradicts everything the story tells us about him. Danny is a martial arts master who fought for and earned a supernatural power. Yet, he gets smacked left and right by nearly every henchman he encounters. Danny spent over a decade with wise Monks, yet he acts and speaks without thought and does not even attempt to formulate any strategy for anything he does. He merely fumbles through the plot like a baby. Danny meets with a girl who owns and runs a dojo. They begin to spar, and she demonstrates considerable martial arts prowess, but somehow, she can't lay a finger on Danny. Later, she proceeds to take down two cage fighters twice her size. Meanwhile, Danny barely wins a battle against a doorman with their fingers chopped off. Unwatchable. Unbelievable.

The storytelling and plot was incredibly awkward. The theme was awesome though. I love the idea of SciFi vikings. Plentiful weird moments to leave you in stitches. +1 star for the pretty mountains

I only bother to write a review when something was either utterly disappointing or truly enjoyable. I absolutely adored this film. Emma Stone crushed her role. Wonderful fun, lovable characters, great laughs, superb story, plenty of great moments.
