I have never seen a movie that shows how completely senseless war is as well as this movie does. The actors were all pretty much unknown at the time that I saw it which made it the impact even greater. But the very end shot of all the other hills is something that has stayed with me for over 30 years and I am sure will stay with me until the end of my time. Not for the weak hearted though.

I am a HUGE Elton John fan and this was definitely not what I was expecting. But once I got past that, I realized that whether you love it or hate it, it's still Elton and Bernie's songs and how can that be bad. I really loved it the second time I watched it. And Taron was beyond great!! If you watched it and weren't sure, give it another shot!!
