deepika's character does not have any character arc or depth. I'll explain, when pathan(SRK)was lured into trap by Rubina(Deepika) in which he was ultimately was cynically greeted by Jim (John Abraham), Pathan was betrayed once. After some time as Rubina helped Pathan to escape the same trap that she was part of it to gain trust of Pathan. After some instances Pathan of their Romantic duo, Rubina and Pathan were on Mission Raktabeej at Russia, they execute the whole plan and at the end again Rubina betrayed Pathan and leaves him at the mercy of the Russians. He was beaten and tortured by russians, cool we saw how Rubina always was with Jim and she is a member of 'OUTFIT X' a group of mercanaries! who kill people for contracts! Pathan yet again forgives Rubina can you believe that??? And it was the turn for Rubina as she arrested by Indian forces as she was an ISIS agent, she reacted like a child as what will happen to him and yet again she was eloped and all thanks to our all emotional Pathan! Deepika Padukone's character is pathetic in this movie. .. Overall, John Abraham was at his best in this movie it was refreshing to see him again as a bad guy. I watched this movie because of SRK because he was returning as an iconic character. .. Yeah Ending note it is good action movie and with a excellent surprise cameo.

Best Movie.. Where are thid kind of movie where story and acting is more important then spending thousands on exterior stuff. The Movie develops in a way that the narrative will suck you in and you will experience the same they are experiencing... Anushkha Sharma should do movies like this more often. But yes there's less money involved in this. Because in India here we are neuroplastified with Bollywood Masala movies... item songs and purely the glorification rape scenes in 1 of 4 movies. ..
