This movie was a perfect example of legendary filming and writing. The amount of detail given to the character props and clothing is matching with ancient japanese times. The sword art techniques are recognized by other modern day samurai. Especially, when Keanu Reeves have trained hard on fighting with the Katana. Although what I don't understand is why movie critics are rating this with the worst scores even with accordance to their reviewing systems, while excusing themselves with something like 'there where older and better versions' of the 47 Ronin. I mean this was an entirely different director with a whole new different approach with CGI and character dialogue. Although this movie might not ever be perfect, it will be much better reviewed by yourself than biased film critics.
