This is an incredible show, it's depiction and indeed 'moral analysis' of the History of a Texan Family from the 1850's until effectively the 1980's is epoch, and Pierce Brosnan absolutely nails it! It's an excellent watch, and both seasons are excellent! Can't recommend it enough! In Australia we have a similar book called 'Power Without Glory' by Frank J Hardy, An Australian Classic, about an organised Criminal who builds a legal gambling empire, this treatment of the oil Industry in Texas is very similar in 'The Son' in it's examination of why people do the things they do! A truly great Show!
