This is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Characterization, motivation, story-telling, world-building of the series are, in one word, Top-notch. I would recommend everyone, who loves stories based on world-building, prophesy, mythology, to just sit tight and inhale this epic saga. Despite being anime, it does not have any filler or whatsoever, just a solid core story of humans on the verge of extinction. Conclusively, AN EXCELLENT SHOW!
