I had a few opportunities to watch this movie earlier. I did first heard of it perhaps in 2007, but had no desire to watch it. Well, I gave it a go today, and I regretted my decision since I thought it was total waste of my time! No film-maker has the right to let the audience ponder about what their movie was about to the degree they played around with in this movie!! I realize that you may ask; "Oh, but don't you think it was totally cool that it started such a deep and an unending audience discussion?" Darn it, isn't it the easiest thing to do to end a movie without a conclusion, and to let the audience come up with their own ending? How thoughtless and cheap is that?!... Was Bateman really Bateman or Davis, or Mr. Smith? Why did all his friends call him Bateman throughout the entire movie while some others had 'mistaken' him to be someone else? Did he kill anyone at all, or were all that in his psycho-imagination, as it obviously was the case with Paul Allen? Etc., etc... "Yeah, cool man, you go figure all that out -- and, good luck with it!"
