This is a really great insight into the trauma that young kids face after a school shooting. Jenna Ortega is absolutely fantastic and charismatic and brings Vada to life. The ending is also haunting because we realise that it’s something none of these kids can ever fully heal from or recover from. The only criticism I have is that I do wish we had a more developed character in Mia who was the opposite of Vada with few friends and no support system - it would have been interesting but that said I understand that the story was from Vada’s perspective. Definitely worth watching - gorgeous film.

I mean the first 30 minutes are so good that it sets your expectations but after that it just gets so unbelievably tedious and the jokes are terrible. Honestly, if you have half a brain cell watch something actually clever and funny - this will make you think you wasted an hour of your life.
