The writers also really tried hard to explore the question of whether goodness can possibly be rewarded within a capitalist economic system - the Silicon Valley culture of the obsession for success, the lack of empathy or ethics. Whether it can be or not, they tried to dream up a way. And hats off to that. The narrative is a great moral teacher. I think that's what 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 about this show -- the narrative form. Maybe they had to do research on the show's content, but their screenwriting finesse is what made the show great. They actually use 𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲, rather than just a bland but necessary element of storytelling.
